Tim Banks is the CEO of APM, a Canada wide construction and property development company, with its head office in Charlottetown, PEI. My family has lived on PEI for over eight generations and I was born at the Prince County Hospital in Summerside, PEI. I am hoping someone will soon develop a blood test to authenticate when you actually become an "Islander" as I am still having problems explaining where I'm from?

A Towering Project....
Here's an interesting projecthttp://www.stratfordtowers.ca/and I'm sure there may be a few meetings in Stratford before we'll see this one built... I like the design but what will others think?
Absolutely beautiful design. However I'm sure the NIMBY's will be out in full force with their usual problems......."it's too tall"........."we don't need theses in little 'ole PEI"........"it blocks everyone's view of the water".........."when I bought my house 40 years ago, no one told me somehting like this was gonna be built. Now I want someone to compensate me".........etc, etc, etc.
IMO this project would be great for Starford and would likely sell out quickly.

As an Islander away in National Capital Region, it's nice to see this kind of dense development coming to the Island's capital region.
If I was back home and had money, I'd totally be interested in this kind of place. Hopefully, other Islanders will see the benefit of smart development.
Obstructing residences view? It's on a commercial property? No one's view will be blocked hopefully it'll be improved that areas in dire need of improvement!!!
What a splendid erection!!

Shouldn't 'dense' development take place in the City's core?
ReplyDeleteLet's embrace a new future, one rooted in the 'Red Trench.'
